@newswatchplusph: WATCH: State auditor Roderick Wamil tells the Impeachment Court that even if a petition is filed before the Supreme Court (SC) challenging a notice of disallowance issued by the Commission on Audit (COA), the agency concerned is still obliged to restitute the funds. Wamil made the remark in response to a question from Senator-judge Imee Marcos on whether a COA-issued notice of disallowance can be considered final even if there is still an option to challenge it before the SC. In April, the COA upheld its ruling to issue a notice of disallowance covering at least ₱73.2 million in the Office of the Vice President's (OVP) 2022 confidential funds. This meant that Duterte was ordered to return the funds. "'Yung desisyon ng COA to restitute, 'di po apektado ng pag-file sa Supreme Court. Kahit mag-file ng petition for certiorari sa Supreme Court, kailangan na ibalik agad," Wamil said.
