@7newsaustralia: There's good news about the young Burpengary boy who flew to China for an operation with Doctor Charlie Teo. Jaxon's family say the 11-hour brain surgery was complex, but all signs suggest it was a success. 7NEWS viewers helped raise more than $100,000 to get the 12-year-old to China. #Surgery #Tumour #CommunitySupport #HealthCare

Shame he was run out of Australia. He performed brain surgery on my Sister 12 years ago, when no other surgeon would. She's still alive Thanks to him

I’m glad to hear that Dr. Teo is practicing in China. Hope he is having inner peace with all the racism he encountered back in Australia.

I know people who had surgery with Charlie Teo and sadly still lost their lives to brain cancer, but was not the issue. They knew they were terminal and he was willing to take on their cases and take risks that many other surgeons wouldn't. The surgeries were undertaken with the hope of extending or saving their lives, but they also did it knowing it may advance knowledge that could help future patients. In my view, he was punished for thinking outside the box, and I recon not everyone in the medical profession appreciated that.

😳I live in Shenzhen's Futian District, right across from a private hospital. Many Western patients come there for treatment every day, creating a niche for employment: some English-speaking Chinese individuals work as interpreters for the patients, which generates a decent income.
