You guys should talk about how most fans fundamentally misunderstand the sport of formula 1. At its core formula 1 is an engineering competition, no champion has ever won with a bad or lesser car. That’s why car merchant is such an irrelevant insult because that’s the point of the whole sport, creating a dominant car better than the rest, every champion was a “car merchant”.

Lewis is the greatest driver of this generation, he was not handed a seat, he and his family had to work their arses off, his talent was undeniable and he was offered sponsorships which paved the way to f1, it is so rare for the fastest car not to win the drivers championship, the only way this doesn’t happen is if the second car is not slightly slower and the fastest team does not recruit well
