@evelynmiller48: Some days with MS are manageable. Some days are incredibly hard. I almost didn’t post this because I don’t like making people worry or making someone newly diagnosed feel scared. But the truth is… these days are part of my reality too. Friday, I got to spend the day making memories with my family And now I’m paying for it… This isn’t every day. It isn’t the only side of my life. But it’s a real side, & I think it’s important to share that too. If you live with a MS or a chronic illness, what helps you keep yourself from spiraling on the hard days? I’d genuinely love to hear what helps you. #multiplesclerosis #msawareness #chronicillness #chronicillnessawareness #livingwithMS

♥️- choose plans wisely. And when you commit to a plan, attack it with intention and purpose, really be in that moment.

This is my life. If I have 1 good day, I always over due it. Because you have been sick for so many days in a row and just want to do something with your family. Just going to the store is a good day for me. To me it is worse on Moms because, they know what needs to be done with the marriage, kids and house. Because it is her that does them. But there is NO energy there to even walk to the bathroom. So I just end up making myself feel worse. 🥺

I'm right with you. I have fibromyalgia and rheumatoid arthritis and psoriatic arthritis so I know what it's like to overdo it.❤️

You know I’m right here with you. 💜 It breaks my heart that MS makes us think twice about doing the things we love because we know there may be a price to pay later. I hope you get some gentle days, sweet moments with your family, and the strength to keep going. I’m praying for you and cheering you on every step of the way.

This is so valid. So I’m newly diagnosed and learning different things. I went on an inflatable water slide twice with my kids over the weekend and I’m still feeling it. It started almost an hour after, and is still going. My skin feels extremely tight and everything under it feels like it’s burning and needs to explode out and can’t. It’s insane because I just wanted to enjoy life with my kids, I’ve been like you, avoiding all the things I used to find joy in because I don’t want to feel the pain for days after. And no one in my family understands. The kids are patient, but the adults don’t seem to want to get it..

You're not alone ma'am, I helped my wife by washing towels and doing dishes because I "felt good" that day, and it took 2 days to recover, 2 days of feeling Ike I had been beaten and dragged behind a truck...please remember you are not going through this alone. I'm sending prayers your way! Stay strong!

I get it. I unexpectedly stayed outside Sunday for four hours in Houston heat and I’m still in the bed today. The pain in my hips and legs is ridiculous. I take my pain meds to knock myself out and crochet when I’m awake. Keep showing the real deal. People see you looking good all of the time and think it’s not a big deal when it’s really a huge deal. My daughter was five when I was diagnosed so I know where you are. I used to feel so guilty for not being able to do and having to ask her for water because my husband wouldn’t help me sometimes. She’s 23 now and always tells me she doesn’t mind helping me, never has, because of everything I’ve done for her even while in pain. Sending love and hugs from Houston 🤗🤗🤗🧡🧡🧡

🧡🧡I have a MS and you had me in tears because I can feel your pain. I can't even imagine having to walk through Walmart after the big day that you had at the water park. What I do is I always lay down where it's really cool and I do deep breathing and sometimes I'll turn on meditation put in my earbuds ñand listen and breathe so all that tension and all that pain has an outlet. I hope it helps I'm not sure if you already do this but that is something that helps me for sure a lot because I don't know what else to do. God Bless.🧡🧡. we are stronger when we fight together!

Hugs.. I’m 18 years in and felt so good over the weekend but today can barely move. It’s affected my mental health I think more than my body at times. I totally relate. I wish we were all close geographically so we could support one another with the daily chores.

Multiple neurologist diagnosed me with MS differential. Meaning I have MS symptoms but don't have MS. My doctor last week gave me a diagnosis of FND functional neurological disease. I feel your pain. On days like this I cancel all my plans & I relax because if I don't I will be out for weeks. Sending you love & prayers. I wish there was something I could do to make you feel better.

Ugh. I feel this. We just got back from vacation and I gave my all knowing id flare. The past few days have been so rough. I also get extreme nausea on top of it. Thankfully kids are so understanding ❤️
