Has this happened to you? Learn how to deal with this in my book 📚 Ten Times Calmer.

✨This is a common experience for people who struggle with anxiety or panic, and sensory overstimulation of being in a store can make things worse. ✨If you’re anxious about going into stores, your body can go into fight-or-flight mode, especially if you’ve had a bad experience there. When this happens, your body sends more blood to your muscles, making you feel dizzy, off-balance, or light-headed. ✨Your heart rate also goes up, which causes your body to heat up—this is why you feel hot and sweaty. ✨These changes can happen quickly, and because they come on so fast, your body starts to feel very different very suddenly and can make you think you might pass out. Your brain starts to think something is seriously wrong, so naturally, you want to escape by leaving the store, so you can feel safe again. ✨This can become a repeating cycle because your brain remembers the place and associates it with danger. Each time you leave after experiencing the sensations, it reinforces the idea that being in the store is unsafe. Over time, your brain can even trigger the symptoms automatically when you go there, making you want to leave again, and things just get harder. The key to getting past this is to deal with the sensations you’re scared of, your avoidance by gradually facing things step by step, and also dealing with the thoughts that are fueling this cycle. Information for general educational purposes only. Always see your own doctor for advice specific to your situation. #d#dizzinessa#agoraphobiap#panicattacksa#anxietysymptomsa#anxietytipsh#healthanxiety
