1. Operating system is the one forcing phone makers to remove SD cards. Memory cards are just sitting in phones doing nothing until you manually move items to them. Apps no longer save media on memory cards. If you buy a 32 or 64 GB phone and add 1 GB memory card to it, the phone will fill up very soon until you move items away. How many users know how to move it? There will be complaints of filled memory. 2. The price you mentioned for memory cards is for fake ones and they're more susceptible to damage than internal memories. You're more likely to lose your data in memory cards than in your phone. 3. Privacy: Anyone can remove the card from your phone and gain access to your sensitive data but a phone thief can only wipe your data but he cannot see it.

No that's not the reason. 1. memory cards are too slow for usage for top phone brands. the read and write speed are too slow. Especially for people who use mem fusion or swap space on their Devices 2. Most phones come with more than 256gb storage. I don't think there will be any need for memory cards. 3. There are cloud storage options available. this is 2026, not 2010 4. The removal is useful to top devices. Only low end device with low storage should have this.

the problem with memory card an smart phone's is that if you should download anything it doesn't go to memory card instead it goes to the in built memory....

you are wrong... because apple has never had an expandable memory storage.. when it comes to Samsung they still add memory card slot to their A version series.... if you can purchase a flagship phone then 1.99 dollars of monthly cloud storage won't be a problem... so money is not the factor.... the main reason is because there a lot of cheap and fake memory cards in the system... so imagine taking a 4K video on a flagship Samsung and it is slow because you are using a cheap memory.. most people are going to blame the phone... memory cards are also likely to get corrupted making you lose your valuable pics..... so money is not the factor... Lastly if money was the real factor apple wouldnt have moved from 128GB to 256GB on their 17 base version and selling it at the same price when 16 128GB came out... please do your research well.....

even battery. back then you can replace parts yourself. I still remember I go to Alaba international to change phone parts MYSELF. the vendor go give you screwdriver self. just loose and replace. now you need mad skills and carefulness to lift this there screens just to replace charging port. and if mistakenly you spoil the screen. OYO is your case and screen became so expensive
