@da.taste.kitchen: 🐖 Every Filipino family has their own version of adobo. This is my dad’s Ilocano-style pork adobo—the recipe I grew up watching him make and still make today. ❤️🇵🇭 No searing. No sugar. Just simple ingredients, time, and patience. Recipe 👇 📝 Ingredients • 2–3 lbs pork shoulder, cut into cubes • 1 whole head garlic, smashed • 5–6 bay leaves • 1 tbsp whole black peppercorns • ½ cup Silver Swan soy sauce • ¼ cup Datu Puti vinegar • 1 packet Magic Sarap (or Wow Sarap) • 1–2 cups water (as needed) 👨🍳 Directions 1. Combine everything and marinate for at least 1 hour (overnight is even better). 2. Pour into a pot and add water if needed. 3. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a gentle simmer. 4. Cover and cook until the pork is fork tender (about 45–60 minutes). 5. Remove the lid and reduce the sauce to your preferred consistency. 6. Serve over hot rice and enjoy.
