I had never heard of Bend, Oregon until I noticed some friends were traveling and moving there… so I knew I had to check it out. [in partnership with @Visit Bend Oregon] We had been traveling in our truck camper for about 6 weeks, moving around every 1-3 nights, and we felt exhausted. So when we arrived in Oregon, we decided to stay in one place for a week to rest and recharge. And once we arrived in Bend, that week-long stay quickly stretched to 17 days, because we were having too much fun to leave. Bend is an outdoorsy person’s paradise - a place where you can run, hike, paddle, float, bike, climb, and so much more. And when you’re hungry after adventuring, the food scene has so much to offer - from casual bites at food truck lots to finer dining. We love this town and have already talked about coming back. Save this post to bookmark our list of spots, and if you’re a local, leave a note with some of your favs that we missed! Where we stayed: 🚐 @Sun Outdoors Bend - RV park minutes from the heart of Bend 🏠 we also stayed right on the Deschutes River in a @Vrbo on our first night and got to kayak on a calm, quiet river as the sun rose Where we ate: 🍩 Oh My Goodness Bakery donut pop-up 🛻 The Lot - taproom and food trucks on Bend’s west side (A La Carte for shrimp tacos and Burgz n Dogz for hot dogs) 🍕 Midtown Yacht Club - more food trucks! We had pizza from Chasin Pizzas, sushi from North Fresh Sushi, a hot dog from Alley Dogz, and a cheesesteak from Bread and Bunny 🍽️ A dinner date at Dear Irene Downtown 🥯 bagel sandwiches for breakfast and lunch at Bo’s Bagels 🍹 mocktails and snacks from The Flamingo Room What we did: 🏃‍♀️ trail running along the Deschutes, with many trails to explore right from the heart of the city 🚣‍♀️ kayaking with @Wanderlust Tours off of the Cascade Lakes Scenic Byway 🥾 Hiking at Tamolitch Falls Blue Pool, Smith Rock State Park, and Tumalo Falls 🏍️ ATV tour with @Octane Adventures 🐕‍🦺 doggy shopping spree at @Ruffwear Dogs retail store ❄️ cold and hot plunge at @fluxloungebend #VisitBend #RoamBetterBend #bendoregon #Outdoors #travel Things to do in Bend Oregon
