The script is immaculate too - not just the plot and the heist itself with all the bait and switches - but the dialogue. Danny and Rusty so in tune they finish each others’ sentences or just communicate with noises… The Malloy’s bickering… and that restaurant scene with Danny and Tess is so snappy it’s like something out of a classic Billy Wilder or Howard Hawks movie… “they also painted occasionally”
