This has happened to me before in abuja and what I did was I parked the car and I came out , told the officer if it’s one way , then it’s a traffic offense and it’s subject to a fine and I will pay it to the appropriate office, it’s not a criminal offense, he should call the road safety to come deal with it, I refused to drive anywhere. I told him to call road safety . In the end I called road safety myself and when they came I told them I would only deal with them not the police , it ended up as a warning and no fine was paid because there was no signage stating it as one way. Sometimes u also have to deal with this people with odacity and knowing the law
