I dont think a lot of people understand this situation... at the time of the pursuit, they were chasing what they were told was a carjacking/kidnapping suspect with a possible hostage being held at knifepoint.... they thought her life was in serious danger and were trying to save her... it was discovered after the crash that she lied and there was no kidnapping/carjacking.

Everyone going “why’d they chase” they thought the woman who stole the vehicle was kidnapped since she made the call saying she was kidnapped at knife point. She was ultimately charged with 2 counts of first degree murder among other charges.

Why tf are people saying why chase? This is literally the only time (had this been real) that you would’ve been able to get her. The driver is running so clearly he would know, the police know, exactly what he’s done. If they call off the chase and he gets even 5 mins alone and happens to ☠️her, the same stupid ass people criticizing would be bitching they should’ve tried to save her. If the person is willing to blatantly abduct her at knifepoint in broad daylight then go on a high speed chase.. why would they not assume he’s going to take her somewhere to do something horrible?
