The interesting thing about Korra compared to aang is that Korra is constantly struggling for autonomy and aang just kind of accidentally stumbles on autonomy. Unfortunately for aang because he IS alone, he’s allowed to decide everything for himself. But Korra is not allowed to choose for herself in most scenarios. So it’s a bit jarring to see she’s suddenly tasked with choosing avatar level decisions when she wasn’t even allowed to decide if she could leave her home or do pro bending or anything like that. She wasn’t given the freedom to decide things for herself and now when she’s finally able to make these decisions people constantly are telling her how wrong she is for everything she does.
