@therailvoyage: Cosy winter idea☃️ full guide below A snow-covered Bergen can be one of the most fairytale-like places to be in Europe 🫶🏻 Here’s a guide of how to spend a dreamy weekend in this beautiful Norwegian city + a magical must-try-train 🇳🇴 🚂 start in Oslo by taking the morning train to Bergen ~ board at 08.30 and arrive 15.00 but TRUST me it’s worth it. The views are breathtaking ~ coffee, some lunch dishes, Norwegian waffles & snacks available on the train ✨arrive at the old Grand hotel in Bergen: @grandhotelterminus - a beautiful old hotel with lots of history located next to the train station ⛰️ stroll the streets of Bergen and make sure to get to one of the many viewpoints ~ don’t miss the medieval area of Bryggen 🍴dine at @lysverket — a Michelin restaurant, we tried their sushi omakase concept which consists of 12 courses of different sea treasures from the Norwegian waters ~ other food suggestions: “AS Bryggestuen - Bryggeloftet”, “Allmuen” and “Pergola Mat & Vinbar AS” 🍷 grab an evening drink at any of the old bar in town, for instance “Vinbaren - Vin & Pintxos”, “Frille og Dyvekes Vinkjeller” or “No stress” ☕️ cosy cafes: some of my favourites are ”Le Cafe Pomme”, ”Kaffemisjonen”, ”Fjåk chocolate shop & café” Note - there aren’t too many days of snow in Bergen. We went in January and were very lucky to get snow ⛄️ 💡 Tips!
