why the theatrics? you are not obligated to allow someone to speak inappropriately to you. Flat out “please do not speak to me in that way again” is completely professional and totally fine, then make sure you note date/time/details. I can’t not believe the amount of people that minimize themselves and allow it

I’ve read that a few seconds of silence is interpreted as rejection in the human brain so I believe a few seconds of silence and no facial expressions/movement really does the job.

I leep my mouth shut way too long and when I finally snap, if someone was to do that or ask me to clarify, I would repeat what I said slowly and exaggerated lol. of they ask what I mean I would break it down in terms they understand. obviously this is for ppl who are outright jerks for no reason

Ok - so I have a real question for you.. so in my last job I was allocated an assignment that turned out to be quite high risk and I handled it well. Looking back, I see that’s when the jealousy from the senior worker in my team started. After that, I was undermined, gaslit, and what feels like a deliberate attempt to leave me engulfed in uncertainty about my job security and where I stood in the organisation . I’d been there months, she’d been there years, and was close with several senior leaders. I have good reason to believe my she has also harmed my professional reputation to the point that getting another job is becoming incredibly difficult. From a legal perspective, and with no physical evidence, is there anything I could do?
