Dad needs to stick for his partner. Hopefully she’ll be there longer than the MIL. I once had a partner whose mother was like this. I walked out of her house 46 years ago, never saw her again. She’s still alive 89 & a lonely old woman. Dumped him, took my baby son. Met my husband few months later & he adopted my son. We had another 4 children together. Been married 44 years. Get her out of your life !

The absolute entitlement of that mother in law is mind blowing 🤯 when did her son and daughter in law become about her and how dare she think she is entitled to be at the birth and then have a say in the name? I hope her son puts her in her place and teaches her about boundaries and respect. How about she just be excited to meet her grand child and congratulate them both on the arrival and ask if there is anything she can do to help them! This is probably the same type of woman who turns around and says her DIL is toxic and is the reason why her son cut her off.
