@sealcentrepieterburen: Meet Izumi. This poor pup, only one week old, was found in a rubbish container. She was accidentally picked up by heavy machinery and ended up in the container. The accident also left her injured, so we took her in at the WEC for treatment and care. Shortly after arriving, several small abscesses developed on her face. We believe these were caused by tiny puncture wounds she may have suffered while trapped in the rubbish. Fortunately, she responded well to treatment with antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medication, and she no longer needs any medication. ❤️‍🩹 Would you like to support Izumi while she regains her strength so she can hopefully return to the Wadden Sea? 🌊 You can symbolically adopt her via the link in our bio!
