Honestly in a way i do want this game to succeed a little when it drops, its not really about the “are you on team hytale or minecraft” for me and more that when games do this and have similar concepts it causes them to compete which usually benefits us all no matter which one you play, cause honestly (besides like the spear and the trials) Minecraft doesn’t really add much thats really anything super significant

the hytale devs said SPECIFICALLY to keep your expectations low for early access, because its IN early access, as in its unfinished and barebones. if you got overly hyped thinking itd be even remotely like a full release thats on you😭 and if youve been keeping up with its development, its gotten SO many updates and refinements, built in mod support, lots of well made servers, theyre very open about their development process and long term vision, the first chapter of the story is pretty close to release, they have some of the Create and Aeronautics devs on the team working on automation, a whole magic system thats pretty customizable, and a new worldgen engine. theres tons and tons of information on their site and theyve been very clear that its gonna take time (and theyre delivering) people are just impatient and cant fucking read😭

It’s been funded for 12 years. 2 from Simon’s personal investment and 10 from the preorders. They already have a roadmap set up and they’re showing zero signs of stopping with its development. It sure as hell hasn’t flopped.
