@whitehorseguitar: This long, glorious Irish summer, one people say we haven’t seen since 1976, is giving us evenings we’re trying to hold on to for dear life. The last of the summer wine is still pouring. The nights drawing in are still a few weeks away. And for now, we’re simply embracing what’s in front of us. Photographs have a way of outliving memory, but sometimes a moment can outlive a photograph. Maybe this week has reminded all of us not to leave these moments until tomorrow. So tonight, maybe just take a breath. Be grateful for the gifts you’ve been given, for the gifts you can share, and for the people beside you to share them with. The songs will end. The pints will be finished. The chairs will be stacked away. But if we’re paying attention, moments like these have a habit of staying with us for the rest of our lives.
