He removed the phone from his pocket right in front of her and she immediately recovered it. It's not as if her testimony would be any less damning if she had given the absolute truth. Now if they found the phone on the street in the area of the pursuit but never saw him drop it, that would be a different story and I think would be grounds to get fired.

Why does something like that even matter ? Like it’s so trivial. Like I don’t get why she lied but what difference doesn’t it make if she took from pocket or if I took it out and then she grabbed it ? Or am I missing something
