They can pick up on changes in facial expressions, tone of voice, and body language—and even detect stress-related chemical changes in our sweat and breath. Because of this, dogs may adjust their behavior by moving closer, seeking affection, or using appeasing gestures when they sense tension. After years of studying Daddy, Melo has learned to take preventive action before da scolding even begins. One apology cuddle, two wittle blinks… and Daddy is right back in Melo’s paws. Hehehe. 😂🐶 Dogs may not experience “guilt” exactly the way humans do. That guilty look is often a response to our emotions, body language, and patterns they have learned over time.
