So many options. I can say, if you can’t afford it, let me show you something in that price range. It’s insulting back. Then just give them a take it or leave it offer. Or say, are you telling me it’s not worth it?, and let them defend their rational. Or say, noooo. And thank them for the opportunity and walk out. If they don’t stop you from leaving, they were never serious. They were price shoppers.

once did a network job for a guy, he didnt want to pay the rate we told him upfront - after he approved. so we just said.. fine, find someone else, and yanked all the shit out leaving him dead in the water. he came back the next day and we charged him double. never questioned the cost again

I only go with option 3... I could care less to talk to them about 1 or 2.. my price is my price.. I don't have time for all that. most the time those people are a nightmare to deal with anyways.
