You don’t have to wait till you’re a creative director to create the work you want to see in the world. 1. Develop a concept (think Insight + Idea + Visual direction) 2. Recruit friends (make friends if you don’t have friends) 3. Book a studio space (they are surprisingly affordable. Check out @Peerspace) 4. Shoot 5. Design 6. Mockup insitu Now you have a full campaign you could put in your portfolio! And it’s as real as what you would do on the job. That’s how you’re going to get hired.
