Here’s another fun fact about endometriosis. If you have Crohn’s disease or another ibd doctors will be more hesitant to perform a laparoscopy because there’s a chance they could cut into your intestines by accident :)

I had a lap to diagnose endo. It did not confirm it. I now know it’s INSIDE my bladder and INSIDE my bowels, which is why they didn’t find it doing the lap 🫠

Wait for it… they also have to fill your abdominal with gas’s to see your uterus in a lap. And there is two cuts , one for the camera and one for the tool to move things. I love my lap photos. Learned my Ovaries are just below freakishly large.

My GP said that the oxygen they use during the laparoscopy to diagnose endo is probably what makes the endo excellarate. She said it's from her own anecdotal evidence in her patients, but most of them reported worse symptoms after surgery: somehow it gotten more painful & widespread. I know for myself this is true. So the most reliable way to diagnose it worsens the disease
