So yea that doesn’t happen to cats. It would only happen in very very rare circumstances. Cats will naturally chew off their long claws for the most part but yea the information they said in the beginning is fake

My cats have scratching pads. I watch them chew their own nails short. I've never trimmed, not one and I have six cats and this has never happened. fake news is everywhere

clipping their nails is a waste of time , there's no chance of their claws growing into the pads. whatever they scratch on removes the old nails with fresh nails already under there. Clip them on Monday , on Tuesday or Wednesday it's a brand new sharp flow

this only happens if a cat doesnt use their cat scratcher 😅 so in short if your cat is lazy, you might have to do this. other wise natural shedding paired with cardboard scratcher board work perfectly and naturally 🫡

I have 3 cats... only one of my cats has to go to the vet for nail clipping. some of his claws were in his paw pads..They have plenty of scratching posts all over the house.

lies !!! 3 years with my cats got them since they were a month old and I have never trim their nails. they do scratch up my couch i have replace my couch once and im about to do it again.. idc if they fuck up my furniture dont do this to them.

I’ve never had my cats nails do that HOWEVER he has deeply scratched himself while just trying to scratch an itch. It’s important to cut your cats nails you just have to be careful not to cut too far. However cats also bite off longer nails so it’s not NECESSARY to do so. I just prefer to do it myself because my cat once bit into his nails too far and he started bleeding. You can just find a normal cat nail clipper at any 5 below or dollar tree you don’t have to get this kne

This only happens to cats if they have nothing they can scratch on throughout their daily life because their claws come off in layers when they scratch a scratching post or they will bite them
