honestly i don’t like turn based because it can easily get boring when you don’t have to use any skill expression to kill enemies and then it suddenly feels impossible to kill another enemy. i do agree that the breakthrough is satisfying, but the process before that feels like there is no answer. in souls like combat at least you know exactly how you can improve (other than just leveling up) and that it is very possible as you are.

my first turned based combat rpg is p5r. i never liked turn based combats because at first, it seemed boring for me, but after playing p5r i started enjoying it. from then on, i started playing other persona games, like p2 IS, p3p and p3r and p4g. it honestly is such a great feeling to win a battle after struggling so much with it

I thought p5 was like dmc but I later learned when I bought p5r it was turn based I seen gameplay of p5 strikers but I now absolutely love turn based games
