@antonlangreiter: Artwork 21/30 - 'Into the Ice' 40 × 50cm Framed Tasmanian Oak The idea actually came from a trip to Norway last year, we saw these massive glaciers and I thought one would make a good artwork. The tricky part was the colour. Glaciers aren't just white, the deeper the ice goes the more blue it gets. My first attempt I went way too heavy on the blue and it just didn't look right, so I ended up ripping the whole thing out and starting again. Second time round I kept the solid blue to the deepest parts and blended blue and white together as I worked outwards, so it fades gradually like real ice. Took a fair bit of trial and error but I got there in the end. That's three of the six winter artworks done. Nine to go overall.
