Rice was cheaper decades ago. Jeepney fares were cheaper decades ago. Jollibee was cheaper decades ago. Does that automatically make every older administration superior? Of course not. You don’t judge an economy by comparing nominal prices across different years. You judge it by asking what people could actually afford, how much they earned, how productive the economy was, and what factors drove prices up or down.
