Cis became a term in 1994 to be more inclusive for trans women. Its not a term to erase the word “women” or “female”. Cis women and trans are both women but have very different lived experience, the prefixes “trans” and “cis” help to add context to those experiences. saying “it should js be women and trans women” implies that trans women do not belong with women and should not be recognized as so. Imo i think cis is only necessary to use when talking about differences between the two, both should simply be referred to as “women”
