She tried to get Sunoo's attention by shouting, but many fans misunderstood and thought she was yelling at or disrespecting him. Later, Ni-ki went live and said fans should focus on enjoying the concert instead of trying to force interactions. Although he never mentioned Mina by name, many people assumed he was referring to her. She then received massive hate online, was called a sasaeng, and was harassed. Mina apologized multiple times, including while crying on live, but the hate continued. Afterward, posts from people claiming to be her friends said she had died. However, there has not been official confirmation from authorities or widely established news organizations, so that part is still unverified. The situation has become a reminder of how harmful online harassment and assumptions can be.

People need to stop using "it's not all ENGENEs" as a way to shut down the conversation. Not every ENGENE participated in the hate train, but that doesn't mean we should avoid reflecting on what happened or encouraging our community to do better. People saying "I didn't do anything" is so weird because of course the video isn't or might not be targeted towards you specifically. Taking accountability doesn’t mean blaming yourself for something you didn’t do. It means recognizing that something harmful happened within our community and being willing to reflect on it. Rest in peace, Mina, the world was so cruel to you. 🕊

Can we stop blaming the artist or the WHOLE fandom? yall ask idols to speak out about situations that make them uncomfortable, and he did.
