I worked in a college of medicine attached to a teaching hospital in the department of psychiatry, and we have several forensic psychiatrists on staff. You have to factor in her blood loss as well. I am not a scientist or a doctor but it stands to reason that less blood pumping around her body would be more susceptible to the cold conditions. I don’t know to what degree and look forward to more expert testimony:

There is no medical condition or injury that would cause a body to cool faster than a corpse. For a living person to get to that temperature she'd have to have been laying out there for at least 30ish hours.

when was her temperature taken? unless it was right there by the house, this temp would be AFTER she received some sort of care and assessment. which would include warming... at the very least, inside a warm ambulance.

Is it possible that a combination of things caused a more rapid drop than what’s typical? Neurogenic shock, internal bleeding, wounds bleeding, meds? I think one thing to consider is that we don’t have a good baseline of her physical health prior to the incident. But I’m interested to see what defense has to say about it.

Actually body temp can drop due to all the physical trauma, internal injuries.

Taking into consideration where she lived, climate temp/wind at the time her injuries occurred, sustained spinal cord injuries, and lack of proper winter attire... the least amount of time would be 30 to "45 minutes" up to 2 to 3 hours (pending).
