Trinity has built the best school rugby team in decades. Despite making 11 trips to Colombo and playing on other schools' home grounds, they consistently won by 20+ point margins. They also beat Royal four times, scoring a combined 178 points while conceding just 61. The next couple of years look just as promising, with the Under-16 team already undefeated.

It’s not the number one rugby school it’s just one of the best teams they produced, st.Peters also won the league like trinity back to back in 2023 & 2024

Tbh, Isipathana is the Kings of Schools Rugby for a reason. One good season doesn't make another school the No. 1 rugby school. Trinity is excellent this year, no doubt—but legacy and consistency matter. And let's not forget St. Peter's and Royal, who've been rugby powerhouses for years too. 💚🏉
