Mando was a good movie! The problem is that it was a continuation of the TV series. so if you didn't watch the TV series on Disney plus you didn't fully understand the plot.

Completely agree with your sentiment, but I would replace the word “special“ with the word “necessary“. The movies that knocked it out of the park really answered the question “do we actually need this movie right now“. The ones that flopped just felt redundant and irreverent.

TV to film is not a recipe for success. Plus with Disney, you know it’s going to be on Disney Plus pretty quickly, so there’s less incentive to go spend $80 at a theatre.
