I think this is unfair to the many films, TV etc, that DID age well. A lot of shows punched down for cheap laughs and now feel very dated. But there's plenty that didn't do that, they were just better quality and now stand up well.

I always watch old tv and movies and look at them as a time capsule for the era they are from. I may not agree with the behaviors or beliefs of characters, but they represent how the world & culture operated at the time.

I think I see what this is pointing at but like…I also dont think a change in interpreting something is the same as recognizing retrograde attitudes and writing lol. Is anyone actually gonna go back and say “actually, casting John Wayne as Genghis Khan was a bold artistic choice”?

Looney tunes has a huge set of enjoyable episodes, even when you filter out the incredibly small amount that are objectionable. it might just be a type of humor that some people don't personally enjoy, that has nothing to do with not aging well.

Maybe “didn’t age well” can be a bit lazy alone, but saying something “did age well” is a real badge. Things like “Blazing Saddles”, “Some Like It Hot”, “To Kill A Mockingbird”, “Rocky” are all pretty rewatchable.
