One of my favorite things about moving up to Atlanta is how easy it is to find Black professionals. Husband decided to take me to urgent care 'cause I had been going on an hour with sharp unrelenting pain in my abdomen that I was convinced would pass any minute now. I was seen by a medical professional named Patience that heard me and validated that the pain was serious. She didn't just listen to what I said, she looked at my body language and the concern my husband and I had. She set me on the path to identifying it as a gallbladder attack and making changes to get my liver & gallbladder back on track
