The Concorde was in its prototype testing and development phase WHEN the chase in 1973 happened, the chase lasted about 74 minutes or 1 hour and 14 minutes and the Concorde went at Mach 2.05, while the moon orbited slightly faster, making it look like time has stopped, the eclipse was a TOTAL solar eclipse and the plane was flown by the legendary test pilot André Turcat, on the roof of the Concorde 001 (France) there were special rooftop Portholes for the scientists telescopes (also W edit, would recommend following you and pressing all the buttons and watch more of your edits)
