And then if you will need care at your old age the government will cash out your house ( which was paid with your spouse) and whatever you own , not to worry about your spouse at all. Versus if you won’t own anything they will take care of you as well. So better book those holidays and enjoy life now x

The government don’t want you to retire they basically want you to work work work take your money and then die so they don’t have to pay you a pension and then take more tax on what you have left behind. What on earth is the point of living and having a life after work

I’m a carpenter. It’s graft, ain’t no way I’ll still be able to do this at 67, my body is slowly giving me the signs now, I’m 43. Once my body is spent, I’m done, and no I won’t be stacking shelves to get by or flipping burgers. This is my career, when I’m done, I’m done. That may be 55, it may be 60. But it won’t be 67. And I’ll sign on and claim everything like the lazy class do. Sold my house a couple years ago in preparation for the fact that this country is screwed, it screws the worker and home owner to the floor. Can’t take a house I don’t own should I not be able to work until the government tell me I can stop. Once my earning couldn’t keep up with the interest payments on my mortgage and bills, I sold it. Now the council provide my house and the rent is cheaper than my mortgage was.

If you’re a hard working taxpayer - no. If you’ve lived at the expense of the taxpayer all your life it makes zero difference- so wrong!
