I think it’s worth approaching this with some understanding. It’s possible she’s grown up without a positive father figure, or with a one-sided account of her experiences. Children often absorb the views and attitudes of the adults around them, just as prejudice of any kind can be learned rather than innate. We don’t know what her family situation was, and there may have been very valid reasons for it. Whatever the circumstances, it’s sad if she’s reached adulthood with such a negative view without ever having had the opportunity to see a different perspective.
