sooooo humans constantly look for 'reasoning' behind things, its very possible the 'telepathic' dude subconsciously clocked symptoms his wife was having and registered it as telepathy cause he couldn't logically trace his pattern recognition, potentially exacerbated by whatever brain injury/illness the doc suspects (same energy as people who get "gut feelings" most of the time its pattern recognition or something from our regular senses that hasnt been consciously acknowledged.)

I had a cord prolapse with my 4th child and it was the scariest and most traumatizing thing I've ever experienced. He wasn't breathing when he was born. Thankfully NICU resuscitated him. He's 12 now, but I wouldn't wish a cord prolapse on my worst enemy. It's horrific and terrifying.
