Pameela 🌸 :
Taralli are a classic Italian ring‑shaped snack made with flour, white wine, olive oil and salt; a typical batch uses about 4 cups (≈500 g) of flour, ¾ cup (≈180 ml) dry white wine, ¾ cup (≈180 ml) extra‑virgin olive oil and ½ tsp salt, plus optional fennel seeds for flavor.
Steps
1.Mix the flour, wine, olive oil, salt and fennel seeds in a bowl until a shaggy dough forms.
2.Knead on a lightly floured surface for 10–15 minutes until smooth and elastic.
3.Rest the dough, covered, in a warm place for about 1 hour (or until doubled).
4.Shape the dough into 6–8‑inch rings, pinching the ends to seal.
5.Boil the rings in salted water until they float to the surface, then drain.
6.Bake on a parchment‑lined tray at 350 °F (175 °C) for 45–60 minutes, turning halfway, until golden and crisp.
