The staff weighs ~40 pounds, if anyone is curious. Most people who drop it are being performative. It’s a very fun bit, no doubt. But, the staff isn’t actually heavy (for a normal…healthy person). The weight is centered at the bottom. Regardless, a majority of the population can lift this with ease. The dark magician guy has become famous enough that being unable to lift the staff gets you a place on social media…hence the willingness to drop the staff.
