Kent Police launched an inquiry in November 2022 into a historical rape, leading officers to identify five further victims who were abused when they were children. Mansford was arrested in March 2023 and charged with 17 offences, including rape, indecent assault, sexual activity with a child, and child cruelty. Following a trial, a jury found him guilty on all counts. On Thursday, 30 July 2026, the court imposed a 25-year prison term. Public record documentation.
