@shotbylewis: 👇 Here’s how and why you should do this to protect your sensor Mirrorless camera sensors are delicate things and changing the lens can easily result in getting dirt & dust in the sensor. Not only can this show in your pictures, but it can also damage the sensor in the long run 😬 Thankfully, Sony’s latest cameras have the option to close the shutter when you turn the camera off, so the sensor isn’t fully exposed. This means you can change lenses without the risk of getting dust or dirt in the sensor 😮‍💨 Here’s how you can turn the Anti-dust Function on: 1. Press the menu button 2. Scroll down to Setup (little briefcase) in the menu 3. Then scroll down to Setup Option 4. Go over to Anti-dust Function 5. Press on “Shutter When Pwr OFF” and turn it on 6. Read the warning carefully and proceed I hope this helps further protect your camera’s longevity. yeah let's put the mechanism that gets destroyed of a single speck of dust touches it in front of a piece of glass that you can easily clean

It’s simple a method guys… turn this ON only before you dismount/mount lense then once it’s done …. turn it OFF — your welcome 🙏🏽

völlig unnötig, einfach den Sensor etwas nach unten halten und schon fällt nichts drauf.

Don’t do this bc the shutter is very sensitive and you could BREAK your shutter compared to DIRTYING your sensor which you can clean.

lol. As a photographer of 40+ years with a current inventory of about $65K in bodies and lenses, I can tell you that this is horseshit and no actual photographer does this 😂😂😂
