@shaykh.muhammad.adil: ● Don’t Look Down on Anyone “There are people who commit sins. Do not consider yourself superior to them. You are not an angel. If Allāh ﷻ Wills, He ﷻ will protect you. So we always make du’ā’ to Allāh ﷻ to be under His ﷻ protection. May Allāh ﷻ forgive us, for we too are sinners. May He ﷻ make us among those who know their sins, and repent and seek forgiveness. Do not look at what others do and say, “I am better than them.” May Allāh ﷻ protect us. Many states happen to a person throughout their life. Our ancestors used to say, “Do not speak too boastfully, saying ‘I am this, I am that’.” A person who speaks boastfully, when a calamity befalls them, cannot know where it came from and goes on in the state of heedlessness. May Allāh ﷻ protect us, may we not fall into heedlessness. May we know our own state so that we are not defeated by our ego. Do not say, “I pray a lot, I get up at night for worship; look, these people are always playing and having fun, I am better than them.” Beware! Because this is a favour that Allāh ﷻ has bestowed upon you. Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla may grant that favour to them as well. He ﷻ may change your state with theirs. May Allāh ﷻ protect us. Therefore, everyone should constantly repent and seek forgiveness for their mistakes. They should look at their own state and not concern themselves too much with the state of others. May Allāh ﷻ forgive us all. Do not be arrogant towards anyone and do not consider yourselves superior to anyone.
