In non inverter systems yes u charge by guessing cause the pressure is stable on inverter on the other side not a good idea

The low side may be below the freezing point, the hi side will not have a good temp split between the liquid saturation and the ambient temp. An hvac technician shouldn’t charge the system unless AIRFLOW looks good.
