Dark matter is a term that means "we dont know". Despite all the advances in the tools and ways we study the universe, we are just the tiniest speck, invisible even. If you take an elephant, make it the size of the Milky Way, shrink us to the relative size, drop us anywhere inside said elephant, what would we see? We would be microscopic, even atom-sized, we would be inside some cell...that would be our observable universe...

It would be fun if it turned out that dark matter kind of tasted like vanilla.

I mean, come on. Imagine if someone said this same reasoning about WITCHES. “I saw the shadow, and it seemed like the pointed hat, the broom and the long nose! What could make the shadow I saw if it wasn’t a witch?”’ Yes, we have indications that there is something creating these outcomes. But we don’t know what it is, and we have not seen it. That doesn’t mean it’s not there, but it also does t mean we can talk about it like a thing. Because astrophysicists use the placeholder so casually, people believe it is a thing. It is a guess, a placeholder.

I cracked this. dark energy is data storage space for consciousness. new theories about black holes containing universes and universes having neural structure would suggest that any conscious being contains a universe which would mean exponential growth of consciousness and that would mean the space will have to grow to compensate.... hence dark energy/space expansion. not a whim theory, based on research

is that a fact..? or a theory?

do you think that the dark matter is hidden in the other dimension dimensions, since I was a kid I could not come to terms with a blackhole, it must go somewhere, for me dark matter is whats been swallowed by the black holes.

It’s “dark”, “witchcraft”, etc. until a new explanation comes.

Different subject, but what's the theory on how all the observable galaxies formed(2 trillion black holes at their centre) I did hear before that just after the big bang super massive stars formed which couldn't sustain themselves and exploded causing the creation of all the galaxies?

Not ok :
why dark matter and not another force at work

Maybe, because the universe is multi dimensional and we are limited to the 3 dimensional space, but gravitation is not …

Is dark matter real? Some studies question this theory https://doi.org/10.1103/PhysRevLett.127.161302

Intuition tells you that dark matter must be one unique substance but considering the amount of different candidates we have and many of them are absolutely viable I think dark matter will be explained in the future through a constellation of things

it's the entropy field. but I'm guessing you'll continue to ignore that.

It would appear that we are the flatlanders Carl Sagan explained about regarding dark matter.
We alresdy know matter consists of mainly air, so why not other dimensions too?

Hopefully we have proof of what it is before my time is up. A shadow dimension on top of ours would be insane discovery

ill have a pop, from my armchair.
dark matter doesnt exist. in that "space" where it should be, time and space are not there and the gap is a gravity well which is why it appears to have gravity. its a matter illusion.
