During my visit, he came forward eagerly for attention, leaning into pets, wagging his tail, and showing just how loving he can be. He was calm, well-mannered, and clearly ready to connect with someone who sees him for who he is. While the shelter notes list behaviors like mouthing during petting or biting at a leash, I did not see any of that during my visit. Of course, he wasn’t out walking with me, but it’s important to remember — Sid, like many young dogs, isn’t leash-trained yet. That doesn’t make him dangerous or “rescue-only” — it makes him a puppy in need of guidance, structure, and someone experienced to help him thrive. This boy is urgent and at risk, and the shelter environment is overwhelming for him. He needs a rescue willing to step in before it’s too late.
