Mikimoto!! Truly iconic. On my wedding day my mil gifted me her vintage 1960s Mikimoto pearl ring. It was SO chic - all of these pearls of different sizes were stacked on each other like a little mound of caviar. My father-in-law picked it up while he was visiting his family in the Philippines. I wish there was more jewelry like that.

We’re black and I grew up in Japan, my mom collected so much Mikimoto that I planned to steal. All her pieces still look great almost 20 years later
