It's been trusted in hospitals for over 60 years, and for good reason. Here's the problem it solves: babies and young toddlers can't hold still or follow instructions the way older patients can, and even small movements can completely ruin an X-ray, blurring the image and making it undiagnostic. Instead of relying on parents to physically hold a child still, or risking multiple repeated exposures to radiation trying to get a clear shot, this device gently secures the child using form-fitting supports, keeping their chin up and body stable, so a single, clear image can be captured the first time.
