I don't understand why people run a box truck I'm going 400 miles coming out northeast for 2500 I did head down 150 miles reload back 550 miles for 4500 two days work 7 thousand dollars no money in a box truck but if it's work for you keep doing what you are doing you are winning 💯

Why didn’t you ask for $1,400–$1,500$? What if they had that much in it? You should always try. The worst they can say is no, and the best case is you make an extra $400

$2.50 per mile is low my guy. You are hauling cheap freight. These brokers will pay more especially due to the fuel increase and etc. you definitely should’ve given your rate as 1459.50$ which is $3.50 a mile.
