As someone whose love language is Gifting, I genuinely enjoy creating something special for others. I was raised with the mindset: give others what you’d love to receive. I want to emphasize, a great swap doesn’t need to be expensive or over the top, it just needs to show heart. I’ve received beautiful one-stamp swaps that were full of care and personality. What matters isn’t how much you send, but how much love and thought you put into it. it’s about mutual effort and respect. So many in this community have shared bad experiences with swaps, and it’s taken some of the joy out of something that should be fun, thoughtful, intentional, mutual, joyful, and meaningful, not disappointing. a lot of people have stopped doing swaps for this reason. If you’re not willing to put in the effort, 🗣️DON’T SWAP. Period. and another thing, Swap Ghosts need to be put on blast. Because WHAT DO YOU MEAN you happily agreed to swap, RECEIVED swap and then flaked? 🙄 It happened to me, and almost all her content is just her opening swaps she received, so I’m sure I’m not the only one she’s done this to. I cannot stand takers. Lastly, If swaps stress you out or feel like an obligation, it’s okay to say no. Let’s normalize mindful giving over forced participation. 💌 Have you had a disappointing swap?
